Gondo Creative Studios designs totem emblems, family crests and family identities in Harare, Zimbabwe, working online with families anywhere. We draw a mark from your totem and the story your family gives us, then carry it onto apparel, signage, stationery and the things your family gathers around. The story is yours; the drawing is ours.

A totem holds a whole family. A crest gives it a face.
A totem is shared by generations, by cousins in three cities, by a whole village. A family crest takes that totem and makes one picture the family can put on a gate, a wedding programme, a reunion shirt or a memorial. These three are concepts we generated to show where a crest can go; yours is drawn from your own totem, your praise names and the symbols your family keeps.

Your story and your symbols
You tell us the totem, the praise names your family uses and the symbols that matter to you. We write it down and agree it with you before we draw anything.

The emblem, the crest and the wordmark
We draw the mark and the family name beside it, and a crest where the family wants one, and show you how it reads small on a cap, large on a banner and in one colour on a stamp.

Carried onto what your family uses
Apparel, signage, stationery, a family gathering or a memorial programme: the artwork for each, ready for your printer. Printing and making stay with your suppliers unless we scope them together.
What we hold to
The meaning is yours. We never invent it.
- No invented ancestry. We draw what your family tells us and never add a history, a lineage or a meaning of our own.
- Your family stays private. Our captions never name a family, and a piece leaves the site the day you ask.
- Scope in writing. What we will draw, what you receive and the rounds of changes included, agreed before we start. Corrections of our own defects are free.
